Terms of Service

Last updated: July 27, 2026

These Terms govern your use of StitchSpeak, a pattern translation and saved-pattern service operated by Innovai Studio S.L. ("StitchSpeak", "we", "us"). By using StitchSpeak, you agree to these Terms.

Contact: support@stitchspeak.com. Innovai Studio S.L. is based in Spain. If you need company registration, tax, or postal details for a formal request, contact us and we will provide the applicable details.

1. What StitchSpeak does

StitchSpeak helps users translate knitting and crochet patterns, preserve readable structure where possible, save translated patterns, export files, and ask assisted questions about translated pattern content.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use StitchSpeak. You may sign in with Google or create an email/password account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.

3. Your files and rights

4. Assisted output and craft safety

We have worked to make StitchSpeak as reliable as possible for knitting and crochet patterns. Our terminology, structure handling, and translation flow are based on craft knowledge and careful review — but assisted output can still contain mistakes, omissions, formatting errors, or ambiguous instructions.

Always review translated instructions, charts, sizes, gauge, stitch counts, and any safety-critical details before relying on them. StitchSpeak is an assistant, not a substitute for your own review or the original pattern.

The ultimate responsibility for a pattern always rests with the designer or the person publishing it. You are solely responsible for decisions you make with the service, including which files you upload, whether you have the rights to process or publish them, edits you make before release, and any mistakes in published patterns or craft outcomes that follow from using StitchSpeak. We do not accept responsibility for user error, incomplete review, or misuse of outputs.

When you start a translation, the selected file and extracted content are sent to Google Gemini to create the translation. When you start an assisted tech edit, the selected file and extracted content are sent to the OpenAI API. Do not upload unnecessary personal, confidential, health, financial, or similarly sensitive information.

5. Beta and early access

From time to time we may invite designers to a beta or early-access program. Participation is offered in exchange for feedback and, where agreed, sharing an honest experience with your audience (which may be anonymized). Beta access, starter credits, and related invites may be limited, modified, or revoked if participation terms are not met or if the program ends. Credits granted for beta use ordinary credit rules unless we state otherwise in writing; top-ups may be available through purchase or administrator adjustment.

6. Credits and payments

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Availability and changes

The service may be unavailable during maintenance, provider outages, quota limits, deployment updates, or incidents. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves.

9. No professional advice

StitchSpeak provides translation and productivity assistance for craft patterns. It does not provide legal, professional publishing, or safety advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StitchSpeak and Innovai Studio S.L. are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages, nor for losses caused by inaccurate assisted output, user mistakes or misuse, incomplete review before publishing, third-party provider outages, or files uploaded without proper rights. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, create legal risk, or compromise service security. You may stop using StitchSpeak at any time. You may download your data and permanently delete your account from the account menu, subject to legally required retention of anonymized financial records and temporary encrypted backups.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent Spanish courts unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
